Relocation Test Village

The Spoor Oost test village is closing its doors at 12 o’clock on Thursday 3rd June. The doors of the new location on Vogelzanglaan will reopen at 2pm on Friday 4th June.

Thanks to the relocation, we can administer more tests at the new location and vaccinate more people at Spoor Oost.

The traffic capacity at Spoor Oost is capped at 600 cars per hour. By working from two locations we can increase the capacity of both the test village and vaccination village. This is essential for the rising demand for tests for travellers that are going on holiday or are returning. The vaccination campaign will also switch to a higher gear.

Address: Wilrijkse Plein, Vogelzanglaan 6, 2020 Antwerp (Right next to Antwerp Expo)

The new test village is easily accessible by public transport (buses 17 and 22, trams 2 and 6). There are bicycle racks and Velostation 300 (Wilrijkseplein) for cyclists. Cars can park on the Vogelzanglaan. The car park at Wilrijkse Plein is not accessible for drivers who are coming to be tested.

Who is it for?

The new test centre is only for those people who need a test before going abroad or people who are returning from abroad (PCR test), or for people who need a rapid test. Those who have COVID symptoms or have been exposed to a high-risk contact, will have to go to their GP or a triage centre to be tested from now on.

Administration Of Test: On Foot

Everybody has to queue on foot at the new test village and they then have to take a seat for the test. It is no longer possible to get the test whilst seated in a car.
